The New York Goofs will be performing a weekly variety show at the Flea Theater (41 White Street). Titled Goofballs, the show runs May 20 - June 24.

NY Goofs features an ensemble of seasoned clowns from various circuses, including Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, Cirque Du Soleil and The Big Apple Circus. Goofballs plans to feature a different line-up of comic bits, variety acts and cornball production numbers.

The NY Goofs parodied just about every favorite Christmas story (from "It's a Wonderful Life" to "The Nutcracker Suite"), in their last production, a holiday revue which was akin to the comic tradition of Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason, and Sid Caesar and entitled The Goof Family Christmas Specal.

The show is directed by Dick Monday, famous not only for his 24 years of clowning but for his appearances on numerous television programs, including "Into the Night with Rick Dees," " The Tonight Show," "Rosie O'Donnell" and "Saved By the Bell."
