The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's next production, Jaime Salom's Bitter Lemon, will feature Broadway vets Mateo Gomez and Edouard Desoto. Performances in English begin March 24 for an official opening April 1; Spanish performances start March 27. .

Gomez's extensive Broadway credits include a pair of Tennessee Williams' plays -- A Streetcar Named Desire, and Night of the Iguana -- as well as Lincoln Center's Chronicle of a Death Foretold. Desoto also appeared in Chronicle but may be most recognizable for starring in the Louis Malle film, "Crackers." The Lemon cast also features Doris Difarnecio (Intar's House of Bernardo Alba), Sol Miranda and Yetta Gottesman. Max Ferra will direct.

Lemon deals with a man's dilemma over deciding whether to accept the hypocrisy of marriage and being a parent, or abandoning safety for true love.

Lemon features a set by Richard Dennis, costumes by Isabel Rubio, lighting design by Robert Williams, and sound design by Johna Doty.

The production rotates performances in English (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), and in Spanish (Saturday and Sunday). For tickets ($20) or more information, call (212) 354-1293.
