Manhattan performances of Kevin Ray Johnson's new musical revue K.D.C., which were scheduled for Aug. 4 at 8 PM at The View Theatre Cabaret at Roy Arias Studios and Aug. 5 at 2 PM at Don't Tell Mama, have been canceled due to rights issues.

The cast was scheduled to include include Nicholas Landmesser as Kurt Cobain, Cait Chelednik as Courtney Luv, Perri Lauren as Kim (Courtney's best friend), Casey Kreines as Dave, John Pisula as Kris, Thomas Copas as The "Angry 80’s Rocker," Carolyn Ruggiero, Melanie Kurstin and Chelsea Kreines.

Benjamin Rauhala was the music director.

K.D.C., according to press notes, is "a musical revue based on the life and career of Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain." It features covers from Nirvana and other bands.

Librettist Johnson said in a previous statement, "It's like Sondheim on Sondheim meeting American Idiot (but with grunge music)."
