News NYC Readings of Jake Lloyd's The Lost Boys Musical Will Star Kenneth Kyle Martinez Two staged readings of Jake Lloyd's original musical The Lost Boys, starring Kenneth Kyle Martinez, will be presented by Beautiful Soup Theater Collective July 21 at Ripley Grier Studios.

Directed by Beautiful Soup artistic director Steven Carl McCasland with musical direction by Will Shuler, the readings will be offered at 2 PM and 7 PM. With a book, music and lyrics by Jake Lloyd, The Lost Boys, according to press notes, "is an exciting new look at one of history's most interesting families. The Lost Boys chronicles the lives of the Llewelyn Davies brothers, J.M. Barrie's real life inspiration for 'Peter Pan.' Together, their magical adventures provided the boys a world that was all their own. But shadows loomed large and happy thoughts got lost along the way, as the Davies brothers struggle to move beyond Neverland and grow up."

Martinez, who was recently seen as Saul in Beautiful Soup's Rags, will star as famed author J.M. Barrie. He is joined by Anna Kirkland (Rebecca in Rags) as Sylvia Davies, Robert Berliner as Arthur Davies, Dan Housek as Peter Davies, Michael Andrako, Neil Dingow, Michael Mott, Adrienne Hurd (Annie Get Your Gun), Erin Elizabeth Eichhorn (Rags) and Dan Cake.

Ripley Grier Studios is located at 520 Eighth Avenue, 16th floor. For tickets, click here. For more information, visit BeautifulSoupTheaterCollective.org.
