What's That Buzz? is made up of nine scenes connected only by the inclusion of marijuana, which plays a role in each vignette.

Laine's Burger Death -- which is something of a prequel to this play -- was performed at Chicago's now defunct Cafe Voltaire. Buzz director William Coelius is a fellow Chicagoan and a member of Chicago's Neofuturists, whose production of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind enjoyed a long run at New York's Nada last year.

The cast of What's That Buzz? includes Joshua Berg, Josie Whittlesey, Yuri Lowenthal, Art Wallace, Alexandra Farkas, Caraid O'Brien, Billie James, Calvin Alden, Rob Coelius, Sara Lipmann, Jeni Henaghan, Liz Joyce and "a couple of puppets."

House of Candles is located at 99 Stanton Street. For information, call (212) 420-1466. -- By Robert Simonson
