Mary Testa (Marie Christine, On the Town) will lead the cast of Hilly Hicks, Jr.'s A Hole in the Dark, receiving a BareBones production at New York City's Lark Theatre Company Feb. 10-14. Playing off the confusion of what racial identity really means to Americans, A Hole in the Dark is a comic fantasy about what happens when a modern suburban family decide to dig up their family roots in order to discover who they are in relation to their history. Prior to this BareBones staging, Hole has been read at the Manhattan Theatre Club and The Public Theatre.

Also in the cast are John Seitz (Abingdon Square), Christopher Kelly, Siobhan Mahoney, Wendy Rich Stetson and Douglass Stewart.

Tickets are $12 and can be ordered by calling The Lark at (212) 246-2676. The Lark Studio is located at 939 Eighth Avenue between 55th and 56th Streets.

BareBones productions are fully-staged with suggestions of set, lighting, costumes and music. After reviewing nearly 600 play submissions, the Lark also presented BareBones productions of Ian Cohen's God's Creatures and the Craig Safan-Kirby Tepper musical, Lola: The True Story of Lola Montez.
