News NYMF Gala to Honor the Weisslers; 2010 Awards for Excellence Winners Announced The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) will present its Seventh Season Awards Gala Nov. 14 beginning at 6 PM at The Hudson Theatre.

The gala will honor Broadway producers Barry and Fran Weissler "for their pioneering spirit and dedication to musical theatre," and the winners of The NYMF 2010 Awards for Excellence.

Bebe Neuwirth, the Tony Award-winning star of the Weisslers-produced revival of Chicago, will perform, as will the cast of the Weisslers' latest Broadway offering, The Scottsboro Boys. More appearances and performances will be announced shortly.

The evening will include cocktails, a silent auction, seated dinner and musical performances celebrating NYMF’s Seventh Annual Season.

The NYMF 2010 Awards for Excellence are as follows:

The Daegu International Musical Festival Production Award and The Stage Entertainment USA Development Award will be announced shortly.

Barry and Fran Weissler have earned six Tony Awards for their productions of Othello, Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy, Chicago, Annie Get Your Gun and the current revival of La Cage aux Folles. Other credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Zorba (the 1983 revival starring Anthony Quinn and a forthcoming production with Antonio Banderas), Falsettos, My One & Only, Grease, Wonderful Town, My Fair Lady, Sweet Charity and many more.

Ticket prices for the NYMF Awards Gala are as follows: Champion Table of 10: $5,000; Champion Tickets: $500 (includes preferred seating and admission to the VIP After-Party with the artists); Supporter Table of 10: $3,750; and Supporter Tickets: $375.
