Rock of Ages producers Carl Levin and Michael Minarik are partnering with The Dodgers to bring the musical to New York audiences. The team was also involved in a 2010 reading and a 2011 developmental staging at Cleveland's PlayhouseSquare. An earlier version was also presented during the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival, where the musical took the Best of Fest Award.

Casey Hushion (associate director of In the Heights) will direct the production that is currently selling tickets through May 13. Fat Camp has a book by Randy Blair and Timothy Michael Drucker, music by Matt roi Berger and lyrics by Blair.

The cast will feature Carly Jibson as Daphne, a veteran of Broadway's Hairspray and Cry-Baby, who has been part of Fat Camp throughout its development. Also returning from the NYMF run are Cale Krise as Anshell, Kate Weber as Britta, Larry Owens as Darnell, Nancy Renée Braun and Michael Mendez.

The Off-Broadway production will also include Daniel Everidge as Robert, Molly Hager as Taylor, Jared Zirilli as Brent, Kati Rediger as Ashley, Marcus Neville as Mike, Janet Dickinson as Sandy, Charles Barksdale, Michael Buchanan, Bridie Carroll and Jennifer Foster.

The creators describe Fat Camp as "the story of a rock 'n' roll rebel and the place where he proves he's more than meets the eye: Camp Overton."

Kelly Devine (Rock of Ages) will choreograph. The production will have scenic design Beowulf Boritt, costume design by David Woolard, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Matt Kraus. Jason DeBord is musical director.

Tickets go on sale to the general public March 26. Tickets, priced $48-$65, will be available at FatCampMusical.com.

The American Theatre of Actors is located at 314 W. 54th Street.
