NY Musical Theatre Fest NYMF's Smoking Bloomberg Offers Sneak Preview Benefit Smoking Bloomberg, which will premiere at the New York Musical Theatre Festival on Sept. 13, will offer a sneak preview July 24 at Any Minute Rocks Now, an evening of musical theatre singer-songwriters with their pop and rock bands at The Knitting Factory starting at 7 PM.

Any Minute Now, a New York based company dedicated to presenting the work of emerging musical theatre artists, will use proceeds from the concert to raise money for their NYMF production.

In addition to the cast of Smoking Bloomberg (performing the song "Nick Nolte"), performers at the event will include John Bucchino, Julie Foldesi, Kevin Kraft, Ryan Mercy, Temar Underwood, Maddy Wyatt, The Somebodies, and The Third Avenue Imposters.

With book, music and lyrics by David Cornue, Sam Holtzapple, Warren Loy and Chris Todd, Smoking Bloomberg is described as follows: "a raucous musical satire about a Korean dry cleaner's quest for revenge against Mayor Bloomberg and the smoking ban that has ruined her business. Full of pissed-off New Yorkers, rich white guys, and potential WMDs, the show offers a biting, irreverent lampoon of American democracy and the individual's place within it."

The Knitting Factory is located at 74 Leonard Street. For $10 advance tickets call 212-868-4444 or pay $15 at the door. For more information, visit anyminutenow.org.
