News NYMF's Wearing Black Will Explore Dealing With the Death of a Twin and a Spiral of Self-Destruction The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Dark Prophets Production LLC. will present the world-premiere production of Wearing Black, featuring a book, music and lyrics by Riley Thomas (Stuck), beginning July 9 at Theater 3.

Directed by J. Scott Lapp (Bonnie & Clyde) with music direction by Ben Caplan, performances will be offered July 9 at 8 PM, July 10 at 9 PM, July 11 at 1 PM, July 13 at 5 PM and July 15 at 1 PM.

Here's how the show is billed: "When his twin brother Charlie kills himself in a drug related accident, all Evan wants to do is forget their complicated relationship and move on, but the tangled relationships Charlie left behind keep Evan from truly letting go. As he slips into a spiral of self-destruction, Evan must make a stark decision: either accept and forgive his dead twin brother, or become him."

The cast features Mark Coffin, Alexis Field, BJ Gruber, Devin Ilaw, Erin Maya, Hayley Anna Norris and Kevin Schuering.

The production also features set and lighting design by David Goldstein and fight choreography by Andrew Kenneth Moss. The general manager is Colleen Slattery, and the technical director is Danny Morales. Sophie Quist is the production stage manager, and Madison Decoske is the assistant stage manager.
