News Nymphomania in New York; Dear Prudence Begins at Rattlestick, March 27-April 20 What to do when you're cramped into a New York City apartment with a roommate who is a nymphomaniac? Such is the setup for Susan Kathryn Hefti's new comedy Dear Prudence, which makes it world premiere at the Rattlestick Theatre, March 27-April 20.

The title character of this new work shares her Manhattan suite with an eclectic gang of young urbanites including a Bronx-born tough Italian girl and a preppy WASP from Philadelphia. While Prudence is the least prudish of the three, her promiscuous ways come to a head when her one true love comes in from England.

Rosemary Katherine Andress directs a cast that includes Kristin Stewart Chase, Jerusha Klemperer, Lynn Antunovich, Natasha Piletich, Garth T. Mark and Jim Conroy. Chase, a downtown devotee has been seen in Or Polaroids (HERE), Sincerity Forever, Baal and Ajax (por nobody) (Flea Theatre).

The design team includes David Swayze (set), Marcus Doshi (lighting), Kevin Hucke (costume) and Kai Harada (sound).

Rattlestick Productions' current world premiere staging of Jonathan Tolins' The Last Sunday in June, will make a leap to a commercial run to Off Broadway's Century Center. Other Rattlestick productions have included Ben Bettenbender's bliss, Doug Field's Down South, Daniel MacIvor's See Bob Run, Lucy Thurber's Killers and Other Family and Harry Kondoleon's Saved or Destroyed.
