News NY's Cherry Lane Readings Give A 'Looksee' to New Plays, May 5-29 A monthlong series of staged readings, sponsored by the Cherry Lane Alternative, will offer established and up-and-coming playwrights a chance to hear their new plays. The Alternative works out of the Cherry Lane Theatre on Commerce St. in Manhattan, with Angelina Fiordellisi and Susann Brinkley serving as artistic directors.

A monthlong series of staged readings, sponsored by the Cherry Lane Alternative, will offer established and up-and-coming playwrights a chance to hear their new plays. The Alternative works out of the Cherry Lane Theatre on Commerce St. in Manhattan, with Angelina Fiordellisi and Susann Brinkley serving as artistic directors.

May 17: Twin Regard by Don Dewey
May 18: The Travelling Cinderella's Dead Mother's Show by Russell Davis
May 19: Can I Walk You Home? by Nicole Burdette.
May 20: Hope Is A Thing With Feathers by Frank Pugliese
May 21: The Heartsick Pioneer by Kenneth Lonergan

A week of screenplays will follow the playreadings, including Peter Hedges' Diary of a Lost Boy and Richard Vetere's Four Cops.
