Off-Off-Broadway's Difference Engine theatre company will present the world premiere of Gordon Dahlquist's Island of Dogs, June 4-28 at the Fourth Street Theatre in New York. Influenced by horror stories of H.P. Lovecraft, early science-fiction and ghost stories, Island of Dogs tells the story of millionaire Alex Paris. As per his father's will, Alex will receive his fortune on his 25th birthday. The play follows Alex's search to uncover the truth about his family's past and why all of the males die untimely deaths.

Dahlquist is a member of New Dramatists and recently received the Phil Bosakowaski Award from Primary Stages . Directing Dogs will be Will Pomerantz.
