News NY's New Audience Wishes Happy B-Day Shakespeare w/ Dench & Marcovicci April 19 The Theatre for a New Audience will celebrate its Twentieth Anniversary Gala on Shakespeare's birthday April 19 at the Hudson Theatre in the Hotel Millennium. The guest of honor will be 1999 Oscar winner and star of Amy's View, Dame Judi Dench.

The Theatre for a New Audience will celebrate its Twentieth Anniversary Gala on Shakespeare's birthday April 19 at the Hudson Theatre in the Hotel Millennium. The guest of honor will be 1999 Oscar winner and star of Amy's View, Dame Judi Dench. Cabaret star Andrea Marcovicci will sing Shakespearean and Shakespeare inspired songs following dinner. There will also be a live auction of Broadway evenings, including Amy's View and The Lion King.

Invited guests include Tony Award winning director of The Lion King and TFNA's Titus Andronicus (now being made into a feature film) Julie Taymor, Ted and Betsy Rogers, Pamela Fiori, Joanne Woodward, Dana Ivey and Blair Brown.

Tickets for the benefit gala are $350 and up. Cocktails begin at 7 PM with dinner and entertainment at 8 PM. For tickets, contact David Bowen at (212) 957-3005. The Hotel Millennium is located at 154 West 44th Street.
