Following a limited run at the Riverside Theatre this spring, Through the Night, written and performed by Beaty, will begin previews at the Union Square Sept. 10. Charles Randolph-Wright will again direct. Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 26.

Through the Night, according to press notes, is the story of "six African-American males, ages 10-60, who discover the power of possibility through one extraordinary event."

The production will feature scenic, projection and lighting design by Alexander V. Nichols and sound design and original music by Lindsay Jones.

Through the Night premiered as a co-production with the Crossroads Theatre and The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.

Daryl Roth will produce the upcoming run; Bill Cosby, Ruby Dee, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Phylicia Rashad are artistic ambassadors.

Tickets, priced $65, will be available beginning July 30 via Ticketmaster.com/(800) 982-2787.  Beginning Sept. 3, tickets will also be available in person at The Union Square Theatre Box Office (100 E. 17th Street).
