News Obie-Winning Playwright Unveils Latest Work, Suitcase, at Soho Rep, March 20-21 Melissa James Gibson, who attracted praise and awards with her 2002 play, [sic], at Soho Rep, will see her latest work briefly showcased at the same Off-Broadway nonprofit.

Suitcase, which plays March 20-21 only, will reunite Gibson, director Daniel Aukin. Both won Obie Awards for their work on [sic], a quirky, playful comedy about three young would-be artists whose marginal New York City lives are becoming more tenuous by the day. Suitcase again finds Gibson exploring "the themes of transitional lives lived in transitional spaces," as a press statement put it. The characters are Jen and Sallie, who have equivocal relationships with their dissertations and boyfriends.

Cristina Kirk and Thomas Ryan star. Kirk was featured in [sic].
