Do Gooder Productions, which has run its Off Broadway hit 2 1/2 Jews for 11 months at the Raymond J. Greenwald Theatre, will temporarily close down due to deteriorating physical and sanitary conditions at the venue.

Do Gooder artistic director Mark Robert Gordon told Playbill On-Line, "The space is no longer approved as an Equity space. We're scrambling to find a space for the show. We have some discussions but nothing is settled yet." Gordon said he knows his show will be shuttered for a little while but hopes the situation is not permanent.

"The oddity," Gordon said, "was that we've had some of our best weeks ever here recently, even without advertising."

Parties interested in Do Gooder Productions and it's presentation of 2 1/2 Jews should call Gordon at (617) 441-8244.
