American Place Theater in midtown Manhattan will be host to a production of the new play, Wonderland, this summer. The Julia Dahl work will begin previews June 2 and open June 12 for an eight-week run. Wynn Handman will produce. Dahl will also direct the piece. The play travels along themes of politics and high finance. Among the characters are Frances, the pretty, neurotic and idealistic daughter of a wealthy New York stockbrocker; Edgar, a district attorney running for Congress on the Democratic ticket; Josephine, Edgar's fiancee, and a district attorney herself; Henry, a Republican power and stockbroker; presidential aide Dennis; and surfer Charlie.
Casting has not been set for the production.
