Once a sitcom star, now back to comedy, "All American Girl" Margaret Cho will play a six week engagement at Off-Broadway's Westbeth Theatre Center beginning June 22. Opening night will be July 8.
San Francisco native Cho became prominent with TV's "All American Girl," which made her the first Asian-American with her own sitcom. Other appearances have included "Politically Incorrect," "Leno," "Letterman," "Rosie" and "Oprah." Cho, making her theatrical debut, has titled her new piece, "I'm the One That I Want."
Tickets ($35-30) are available by calling Ticketmaster at (212) 307 4100. The Westbeth Theatre is located at 151 Bank Street and on the web at http://www.westbeththeatre.com.
The Westbeth has served as the starting place for several Off-Broadway and Broadway shows within the last two years, including Sandra Bernhard's I'm Still Here, Damn It!, Thwak and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
