News Oct. 5 Performances of Goodnight Moon Canceled Due to Government Shutdown Adventure Theatre MTC, which is located in Maryland, has canceled its Oct. 5 performances of Goodnight Moon, which had been scheduled for 11 AM, 2 PM and 4:30 PM.

The company receives no federal funding but is located on National Park Grounds in Glen Echo Park. All office operations are temporarily moved to its Academy location in Wintergreen Plaza (Rockville, MD).

“Our hearts go out to other organizations and families affected by the shutdown,” said Michael J. Bobbitt, producing artistic director of Adventure Theatre MTC and choreographer of Goodnight Moon, in a statement. “We are currently looking into added performances and new opportunities for relocating the show. This shutdown has the prospect of doing great harm to the organization financially, and we hope the issue is resolved soon.”

Complimentary exchanges will be accepted by e-mailing [email protected] with the order number and preferred time/date of the exchange or by calling the temporary box office, (301) 251-5766, ext. 22.

Performances on Oct. 6 of Goodnight Moon are pending. All cancellations will be made 24 hours in advance on Adventure Theatre MTC’s website and on ATMTC’s Facebook and Twitter.
