The NYCF announced O'Donnell's appearance Aug. 23. She joins a roster of comedy stars taking part in the week-long festival Nov. 6-11 at the city's top venues.
O'Donnell — who will be joined by "a number of special guests," according to the announcement — will perform Nov. 6 at 8 PM at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center. Proceeds from the performance will benefit Rosie's Broadway Kids.
The fourth annual event also includes such comic acts as Sarah Silverman (Carnegie Hall - Nov. 7), Denis Leary (Beacon Theatre - Nov. 8), Louis CK (Town Hall - Nov. 8), Artie Lange (Town Hall - Nov. 9), Damon Wayans (Beacon Theatre - Nov. 9), Bill Maher (Beacon Theatre - Nov. 10) and Seth MacFarlane (Avery Fisher Hall - Nov. 11).
As producer (Taboo), star (Fiddler on the Roof, Seussical) and all around cheerleader, O'Donnell has been a prominent player in the Broadway community. The actress — seen in the films "A League of Their Own," "Sleepless in Seattle," "Now and Then," "Beautiful Girls" and heard (in voice) on "Tarzan" — has also been seen on the small screen. In addition to her hosting work on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and "The View, she has put in memorable turns on "Nip/Tuck," "Queer as Folk," "Will & Grace," "The Practice," "Ally McBeal" and more.
