Sessions currently stars Emmy nominee Robert Newman as a New York therapist who is enticed by one of his female patients, portrayed by Rak. Thomas Cote directs the musical, which features book, music and lyrics by Tapper.
The cast also features Tony nominee Liz Larsen (The Most Happy Fella, The Rocky Horror Show), Ken Jennings (Sweeney Todd, Side Show), Maya Days (Aida), Bertilla Baker (Titanic), Al Bundonis (Whistle Down The Wind), Scott Richard Foster (Brooklyn the Musical), Kelli Maguire (Swingtime Canteen) and Sky Seals (Much Ado About Nothing).
Rak, who has appeared in the Broadway productions of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Fosse and The Look of Love, has generated buzz for her appearance in the A Chorus Line revival documentary "Every Little Step," in which she vies for the role of Sheila.
Penny Ayn Mass and James Horvath choreographed Sessions, which has musical direction by Steven Gross. The design team includes John McDermott (scenic design), Michele Pasqua (costume design), Brant Thomas Murray (lighting design) and Josh Liebert (sound design).
