News Off-Broadway's Naked Boys Will Sing Anew at John Houseman Theatre, Sept. 17 It's been a theater-hopping year for the Off-Broadway revue Naked Boys Singing! which ended its run at the Actors' Playhouse earlier this year and moved to Theatre 4. The show now heads to the John Houseman Theatre, Sept. 17.

The sometimes comic, sometimes serious, all-singing, all-dancing revue celebrating male nudity played its final performance at the Actors' Playhouse, March 7. The show then reopened at Theatre 4, March 10. A production spokesperson confirmed the show would end its run at Theatre 4, Sept. 5.

The musical will now play Friday evenings at 10:30 PM, Saturdays at 6 and 10:30 PM. Tickets for the new open run will go on sale this weekend through (212) 239-6200.

The original 16-song score for Naked Boys Singing! includes such numbers as "Fight the Urge," "The Bliss of a Bris," "Muscle Addiction," "Nothing But the Radio On," "Members Only" and "Window to Window."

The musical comedy revue opened in New York July 22, 1999, after a successful run at the Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles. The show's contributing writers are Stephen Bates, Marie Cain, Shelly Markham, Jim Morgan, David Pevsner, Rayme Sciaroni, Mark Savage, Ben Schaechter, Robert Schrock, Mark Winkler and Bruce Vilanch. Schrock directed with choreography by Jeffry Denman (The Producers) and musical direction by Stephen Bates, who died in 2003.
