In the tale, Art and Wren visit London, and Anxiety visits Wren, in the form of a little demon which dogs her and gives her very bad advice. Ken Rus Schmoll directs a cast including Clenn Fleshler, Gibson Frazier, Nina Hellman, Patrick McNulty, Heidi Schreck, Polly Lee and Mark Shanahan.
Clubbed Thumb, the downtown troupe which has won an Obie Award, specializes in quick, zany plays by American writers. Many are developed in their annual Summerworks series, as was Demon Baby.
