George Gershwin has been dead for 60 years, but his is still a household name in theatres around the world. The "Interkulttheater" in Vienna celebrates the famous composer by letting his sister speak.

In Oh! Me Likey!!, Caroline Koczan as Frances Gershwin uses songs, dances, comedy scenes and recordings of George's piano playing to tell the story of her famous brother from her point of view.

Franz Gerhart plays the barkeeper and emcee in this two-person vaudeville-revue that promises to be an honest hommage to George Gershwin as well as a link between the Roaring Twenties and the present.

Elisabeth Schuster directs, Michael Paul Reardon is the choreographer and Katrin Schueler-Springorum directs the ladies' band "The Primroses".

For those who wonder: The title was one of Gershwin's favorite catchphrases. And, yes, there is a connection between the Gershwin family and Vienna. George, Frances, brother Ira and his wife Leonore visited Austria's capital in 1928 while journeying through Europe. Performance dates: Oct. 15./16., 21. - 23., Nov. 19. - 22. All performances 8 PM.
