The Ojai Playwrights Conference (OPC), the developmental program for new plays out of Ojai, California, has announced its 20th anniversary roster of playwrights and new works. The new play intensive culminates in OPC's public workshop series known as the Summer New Works Festival.

This year's playwrights and plays are Ripe Frenzy by Jennifer Barclay; The Last White Man by Bill Cain; Greater Clements by Samuel D. Hunter; What You Are by JC Lee; The Siblings Play by Ren Dara Santiago; Blue State by Sandra Tsing Loh; and Graveyard Shift by Korde Arrington Tuttle.

“OPC’s mission is to develop unproduced plays of artistic excellence from diverse writers—both emerging and established—by promoting creative freedom and bold experimentation through a development process that values writers who focus on the compelling social, political and cultural issues of our time,” commented artistic director and producer Robert Egan in a press statement.

The Summer New Works Festival will run August 6–13. For more information visit OjaiPlays.org/.
