Hamlet, staged by Shakespeare Festival artistic director Darko Tresnjak, will kick off the annual event June 16 at the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Matt August, starts June 20 and Measure for Measure, directed by Paul Mullins, begins June 23.

The company of actors features Celeste Ciulla, Stephanie Fieger, Lucas Hall, Tom Hammond, Eric Hoffman, Charles Janasz, James Knight, Jonathan McMurtry, Ryan Quinn, Corey Sorenson and Sam Breslin Wright as well as students of The Old Globe/USD Professional Actor Training Program: Chris Bresky, Chip Brookes, Joy Farmer-Clary, Kimberly Parker-Green, Cara Greene, Rhett Henckel, Sam Henderson, John Keabler, Michael Kirby, Nathaniel McIntyre, Aaron Misakian, Carolyn Ratteray, Summer Shirey and Kate Turnbull.
The design team for the Festival includes Ralph Funicello (set), Robert Morgan (costumes for Hamlet and Measure), Fabio Toblini (costumes for Gentlemen), York Kennedy (lighting) and Chris Walker (sound). Scott Horstein serves as dramaturg. Steve Rankin handles fight direction. Mary K. Klinger is stage manager.
As previously announced, the Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q will run in the Old Globe summer season June 30-Aug. 5 at the historic Spreckels Theatre. Noel Coward's Hay Fever, directed by Robert Longbottom, plays July 14-Aug. 19 in the Old Globe Theatre, while John Van Druten's play Bell, Book and Candle (directed by Tresnjak) plays Aug. 4-Sept. 9 in the Cassius Carter Centre Stage.
