Evan Cabnet will stage the production that begins previews at the Cherry Lane Theatre May 8 and will officially open Off-Broadway May 17. The engagement will continue through June 6. "Oliver is 17 and Jasper is 60," according to press notes. "They are best friends. Oliver wants to get laid, and Jasper wants to help. Jasper wants to drink himself to death, and Oliver wants to save him. And they share a secret that could ruin them both... if it hasn't already."

Casting will be announced shortly.

The design team will include Lauren Helpern (set design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Jessica Shay (costume design) and Zane Birdwell (sound design).

Meriwether, who is a playwright in residence at Ars Nova, has penned the plays The Mistakes Madeline Made, Heddatron, Nicky Goes Goth, The True Love Story My Parents and 90 Days.
