Peter Travis will direct the film from a screenplay by Alex Garland. Karl Urban will play the title character, a feared "Street Judge" in Mega City One, the last remaining civilized area on earth. Thirlby will play Dredd's sidekick, Judge Cassandra Anderson.
Thirlby appeared in Farragut North at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York and the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Her film credits include "Bored to Death," "Breaking Upwards," "Uncertainty," "New York, I Love You," "Juno" and "United 93."
