Awards Olivier Awards 2019: Patti LuPone Wins for Company, West End Come From Away Takes Best Musical, More Come From Away, Company, and the new play The Inheritance each earned four awards at the London ceremony April 7.

The 2019 Olivier Awards took place April 7, with three productions tying as the top winner of the night: the West End's Come From Away, the gender-reversed revival of Company, and Mathew Lopez's two-part, queer-themed The Inheritance. Each earned four wins, including Best Musical, Rest Musical Revival, and Best New Play, respectively.

In addition to Best Musical, Come From Away earned awards for choreographer Kelly Devine, sound designer Gareth Owen, and the full music team, including composers David Hein and Irene Sankoff. Meanwhile, Company brought wins to Patti LuPone and Jonathan Bailey for their respective performances as Joanne and Jamie (a new take on the musical's Amy), as well as set designer Bunny Christie. Stephen Daldry won Best Director for helming The Inheritance, which also won Best Actor for Kyle Soller and Best Lighting Design for Jon Clark.

Additional winners included Sharon D. Clarke for taking on the title role in Caroline, Or Change, the Almeida Theatre production of Summer and Smoke, and Patsy Ferran for her performance in the latter.
