Nominations for the 2014 Olivier Awards, which were announced March 10, are led by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Menier Chocolate Factory's West End transfer of Merrily We Roll Along (with seven nominations each), with the London transfers of Once, The Book of Mormon and The Scottsboro Boys receiving six nominations apiece.

West End stage and screen stars Gemma Arterton and Stephen Mangan co-host the awards, which   nclude performances from the Best New Musical nominees, including The Book of Mormon, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Once and The Scottsboro Boys, in addition to performances from all the BBC Radio 2 Audience Awards nominees – Les Misérables, Matilda The Musical, The Phantom Of The Opera and Wicked.

Three-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters will also perform, backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra, and Abba's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus will also reunite, to perform with the current cast of Mamma Mia! that is now in its 15th year in the West End.

Award presenters include Michael Ball, Samantha Barks, Kristin Davis, Lesley Garrett, Nigel Harman, Rufus Hound, Beverley Knight, Dame Penelope Keith, Robert Lindsay, Dame Gillian Lynne, Ben Miles, Alistair McGowan, Marianela Núñez, Lesley Sharpe, Mark Strong, Luke Treadaway, Gok Wan, Ruth Wilson and Leigh Zimmerman.
