It will begin performances Oct. 4 at the Tabard Theatre in Chiswick, West London, prior to an official opening Oct. 6, for a run through Oct. 30.

It will be directed by Anthony Drewe, best known as the lyricist half of Stiles and Drewe, currently represented in the West End by Betty Blue Eyes and on Broadway and on a U.S. tour by additional songs for Mary Poppins. Also in the cast are Lewis Barnshaw (Charlie Brown), Mark Anderson (Snoopy), Nathaniel Morrison (Shroeder), Adam Ellis (Linus) and Hayley Gallivan (Sally).

Based on the comic strip "Peanuts" by Charles M Shultz, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown features book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, with new music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and additional dialogue by Michael Mayer, that were added for the 1999 Broadway revival of the show that Mayer also directedd.

According to press materials, Charlie Brown, though considered a ‘good man,' has never been able to keep a kite in the air, never successfully kicked a football and can't seem to win the heart of the Little Red-Haired Girl. As the ‘Peanuts’ gang make their way through the day, Charlie wonders what it takes to be a good man as he sees his friends passions: Schroeder’s infatuation with Beethoven, Linus’ obsession over his blanket, Sally’s new philosophy and Snoopy’s ace flying ability. And with the help of his friends, Charlie comes to realise what makes them all truly happy.
