News Olivier Winner Maria Friedman Will Join Composer Marvin Hamlisch for Concert Evening Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman, who made her Broadway debut in The Woman in White, will be the guest star in An Evening with Marvin Hamlisch.

The evening will be held Oct. 9 at London's Playhouse Theatre. Doors will open at 7 PM for the 7:45 PM performance.

The concert will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Tony and Academy Award winner Hamlisch.

Maria Friedman won Olivier Awards for her roles in Passion, Ragtime and the earlier version of her concert show, By Special Arrangement. Other leading roles include appearances in the West End in Chicago, Blues in the Night and The Woman in White (subsequently re-creating her performance at Broadway's Marquis Theatre), as well as Lady in the Dark and Sunday in the Park with George, both at the National Theatre.
