News On Broadway Benefit Concert to Feature Jose Llana and Merle Dandridge Jose Llana and Merle Dandridge will be part of the East West Players' On Broadway benefit concert Aug. 20 in Los Angeles.

East West Players, which celebrates and promotes the Asian Pacific American experience, will present the concert at 7:30 PM in the David Henry Hwang Theater.

In addition to Llana (Flower Drum Song) and Dandridge (Spamalot), the evening will include Sandra Allen (Sunset Boulevard), Joan Almedilla (Miss Saigon), Alan Ariano (Jerome Robbins' Broadway), Marcus Choi (Wicked), Takayo Fisher (The World of Suzie Wong), Alvin Ing (Pacific Overtures), Jodi Long (Flower Drum Song), Marc Oca (Shogun), Jennifer Paz (Les Miserables), Jenni Selma (Miss Saigon), Sab Shimono (Mame), Yuka Takara (A Chorus Line) and Gedde Watanabe (Pacific Overtures).

All proceeds from the concert benefit East West Players' artistic and educational programs. The evening begins with a 6 PM dinner; a 9 PM dessert under the stars will follow the performance.
