News Once Tony Nominee Cristin Milioti Is the Mother of CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" (Plus Video) Cristin Milioti, who was Tony-nominated for her performance as Girl in the 2012 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Once, has been revealed as the titular character on the hit CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother."

On the May 13 Season Eight finale, Milioti, who has also been seen on Broadway in Coram Boy and The Lieutenant of Inishmore, appeared at the end of the episode. She will play the series' title character, a prominent figure in the upcoming final season of "How I Met Your Mother."

Milioti's character, the future bride of Ted (Josh Radnor) who is known as "The Girl With the Yellow Umbrella," will encounter Ted after Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin's (Cobie Smulders) wedding.

The series, which stars 2013 Tony Awards host Harris, also features Alyson Hannigan, Radnor, Smulders and Jason Segel.
