News One Day Only: The 24 Hour Musicals — with Clark, Esparza and Butler — Plays Joe's Pub Victoria Clark, Raúl Esparza, Kerry Butler, Steven Pasquale, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Denis O'Hare, Cheyenne Jackson and more hit the stage singing for the inaugural presentation of The 24 Hour Musicals Jan. 21.

The 24 Hour Plays company teams with the Exchange to produce the one-night-only benefit at Joe's Pub. Proceeds from the evening will benefit both the Exchange and the Orchard Project.

"Sixteen stars. Four composers. Four directors. Two choreographers," explains show materials. "Four brand new musicals will be written, cast, rehearsed and performed at Joe's Pub in a single day, featuring an all-new all-star line up of Broadway performers, great composers and writers, directors and to top it all off, choreographers and musical directors."

Tony winner Ted Sperling (The Light in the Piazza, Striking 12) serves as creative director for the evening.

Scheduled to appear are Brooks Ashmanskas (The Ritz), Celia Keenan-Bolger (...Spelling Bee), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza), John Ellison Conlee (The Full Monty), Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Raul Esparza (The Homecoming), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Spelling Bee), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up), Nellie McKay (The Threepenny Opera), Denis O'Hare (Take Me Out), Steven Pasquale (The Light in the Piazza), Mo Rocca (Spelling Bee), Claudia Shear (Dirty Blonde), Tracie Thoms ("Rent") and Rita Wilson (Chicago). (All artists subject to availability.)

David Yazbeck (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Moises Kaufman (The Laramie Project) are among the creatives that also include Adam Bock (The Receptionist), Joe Iconis (The Black Suits), Jonathan Butterell (The Light in the Piazza), Chase Brock (Wonderful Town) and Warren Carlyle (Oklahoma!).
