The evening honors Oscar winner Susan Sarandon, who will receive the Sir Ian McKellen Award for her philanthropy and activism, and Dr. Alex Karp, who will be presented with the Founders’ Award for his outstanding commitment to philanthropic causes.
Entertainment is provided by Andy Karl, Orfeh, Tony winner Alan Cumming, Brandon Victor Dixon, Tony winner Shuler Hensley, Brad Oscar, Rosie’s Kids, Seth Rudetsky and the cast of Disaster! as well as the cast of Honeymoon in Vegas. Speakers/presenters include Joe DiPietro and Tony Danza.
Only Make Believe is a non-profit organization that "creates and performs interactive theatre for children in hospitals and care facilities. They are dedicated to the principle that freeing a child's imagination is a valuable part of the healing process."
