Can a dutiful wife and mother fight information overload and win? That's the question posed in Carole Clement's new Off-Off-Broadway play, Babes in America, running at Theater for the New City, Sept. 13-30.
The first production of the newly-formed Breakaway Theatre Company, the darkly comic Babes revolves around Liz Small, a wife and mother of two, who is trying to catch up with her life. She must cope with the expectations of her family while trying to thwart the ill effects of too much technology.
Directed by Max Daniels, the play features Kate Lunsford, Paula Nance, Alexandra Leeper, Lisa Rock, Samuel Ward, Ryan Paulsch and Joey Zito.
The theatre is at 155 First Ave., NYC. Tickets are $14; $12 for students and seniors. Call (718) 622-5014.
