Actor Michael Rhodes (Three Tall Women) has found a New York City home for his Wanderers -- the Sanford Meisner Theatre, which the romantic comedy will call home beginning Sept. 8. Opening night is set for Sept. 13 with a run ending Sept. 24.

Wanderers is a love story, set between two normal twenty somethings, Paul and Rose. Both have suffered from the modern dating scene. Rose, victim of a recent break-up, has terribly low expectations of men, while Paul hasn't been able to figure out a woman since that first one -- at five years old -- ran away from him when he tried to kiss her. When Paul and Rose come together, they want to make it work, but they'll need help from their friends and courage to overcome their fear.

Rhodes starred as the Boy in Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning Three Tall Women, in its U.S. premiere, Off-Broadway and on the national tour. Other credits include Albee's The Zoo Story, Waiting for Godot and Fifth of July. He wrote the plays American Success Story, Seven Quarters and Pilgrimage.

Atlantic Theatre Company founding member Keith Teller (Boy's Life, Sexual Perversity in Chicago) directs. Teller co-artistic directs the Tangent Theatre Company, producers of Wanderers, with Rhodes and producer Andrea Miller.

Tickets are $15. The Sanford Meisner Theatre is located at 164 11th Avenue at 22nd Street. For reservations, call (800) 965-4827. -- By Christine Ehren
