News Oprah Welcomes Hugh Jackman, Letterman Chats with Nathan Lane Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman's headline-making entrance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" is broadcast Jan. 21.

It was in December when actor-singer Jackman, most recently on Broadway in the two-character Keith Huff play A Steady Rain, sustained minor injuries while filming an episode of Winfrey's talk show. The award-winning actor was filming a segment for "Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure" when he hit some light rigging while making an entrance on a flying fox, which the Hollywood Reporter described as "a heavy-duty wire set with a harness and handle assembly that slides on wheels." "Oprah in Australia: The Grand Finale," which airs in the New York metropolitan area on ABC-TV Channel 7 at 4 PM, also features U2's Bono, Olivia Newton-John, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

Another Tony-winning actor, Nathan Lane, will appear on "Late Show with David Letterman" Jan. 21. Letterman will chat with the star of Broadway's The Addams Family as well as comedian Mike Palascak and Esperanza Spalding. "Late Show" airs in the New York area at 11:35 PM on CBS-TV Channel 2.
