Fourteen of the original cast members from the 1978 Australian production of A Chorus Line will reunite for a special Sydney performance May 3. They will perform as part of the Australian Dance Awards to be held at Sydney's State Theatre.

Original cast members including Peta Toppano,Garth Welch,Tony Bartuccio and Angela Ayres will recreate the chorus line that became a major theatrical hit in Australia 20 years ago. Some have maintained high-profile careers in the industry whilst others have left the profession.

The second annual awards ceremony will acknowledge the movers and shakers of the dance community and also recognise the contribution made by pioneers of dance in Australia.

The evening will also feature performances by the Bangarra Dance Theatre,The Australian Ballet and LA Danceforce. Bookings (61-2) 93209000.
