News Original Revival Stars Banderas, Krakowski, Rivera, Peil Exit Nine, Oct. 5 Antonio Banderas, Jane Krakowski and Chita Rivera — stars of the Roundabout Theatre Company's Tony Award-winning revival of Nine — will exit the Maury Yeston-Arthur Kopit musical, Oct. 5.

John Stamos, Jenna Elfman and Eartha Kitt will replace the threesome Oct. 7, joining original revival cast member Mary Stuart Masterson and Laura Benanti's replacement, Rebecca Luker. Marni Nixon will also replace the exiting Mary Beth Peil on the same day.

Banderas, Krakowski and Rivera were all nominated for Tony Awards for their performances — Krakowski won the award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. The staging itself also won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.

The new David Leveaux staging of Nine began at Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre March 21 and opened April 10. The show was originally scheduled for a limited run through June 29 and is now slated to end Jan. 4, 2004.
