Classic Arts News Orlando Consort Opens American Tour in Annapolis The Orlando Consort begins a seven-city tour with a performance at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, tonight.
The medieval and Renaissance vocal group will make appearances in Los Angeles, Milwaukee, and New York, among other cities. Programs will include music by Josquin, Dufay, Obrecht, and Antoine Busnois, the 15th-century Frenchman who is the subject of the group's latest CD.

Created in 1988 by the Early Music Centre of Great Britain, the Orlando Consort currently includes countertenor Robert Harre-Jones, tenor Mark Dobell, tenor Angus Smith, and baritone Donald Greig. The group performs music from the 11th through the 16th centuries, informed by research into the vocal techniques of the period.

February 10,11: Schwab Auditorium, Penn State University, University Park, PA
Feburary 12: Low Library Rotunda, Columbia University, New York, NY
