News Oscar Winner Harden Stars in Shepard's "See You in My Dreams" for CBS CBS-TV will present "See You in My Dreams," a TV movie based on autobiographical short stories by Sam Shepard.

The film — featuring Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Aidan Quinn and Will Estes — will premiere on the eye network June 13 at 9 PM ET; check local listings. The movie is based on short stories from two Shepard tomes, "Cruising Paradise" and "Motel Chronicles." Cheech Marin and Jacinda Barrett are also featured in the drama, which was directed by Graeme Clifford. According to production notes, "See You in My Dreams" concerns "Joe (Quinn), [who] is an overwrought rancher striving to emerge from the shadow of his harsh upbringing and make a better life for himself and his family. When his business ideas falter, Joe begins driving a wedge between himself and his wife Angela (Harden) and son Ben (Estes). Joe forces his son out of the house at the age of 15, hoping this will prevent him from following his same futile path.  With the absence of her son in their home, Angela's heart is broken and the cracks in her marriage deepen. Years later, Joe, Ben and Angela must decide how to bridge the gaps among them and face the consequences of unrealized dreams."

On Broadway Sam Shepard has been represented by productions of Operation Sidewinder, Buried Child and True West. He also contributed to the long-running revue Oh! Calcutta!. Among his other plays are Curse of the Starving Class, Simpatico, Fool for Love, A Lie of the Mind and Eyes for Consuela. Buried Child won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1979.
