Current Tony Award nominee Burton (nominated for The Constant Wife) and film star Goldwyn ("Reckless," "Ghost") headline the play in which a woman and her two children live in their inherited lakeside home until the long-estranged ex-husband shows up to claim the house.

Frears — director of David Marshall Grant's recent Pen — has also staged Terrorism, Where We're Born, God Hates The Irish and Rebeck and Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros' 2004 Pulitzer Prize finalist Omnium Gatherum.

The design team for The Water's Edge will feature Alexander Dodge (set), Junghyun Georgia Lee (costume), Frances Aronson (lighting) and Vincent Olivieri (sound). Original music featured in the production is by Michael Friedman.
