News Pace's Schimmel Center to Host Globe's Hamlet, Plus Concerts of Harold Arlen and Jule Styne Tunes Evenings devoted to the music of Harold Arlen and Jule Styne will be presented as part of the 2012-13 programming at Pace University's Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts, which will also include the Globe production of Hamlet.

From Oct. 2-7, Pace will welcome Shakespeare's Globe production of Hamlet, which is billed as a "raw, thrillingly elemental production." Dominic Dromgoole directs a youthful cast in this Elizabethan-inspired staging. On Oct. 19 Pace will offer American Showstoppers: The Music of Harold Arlen, featuring the 12-piece Fred Barton Orchestra and performers from Broadway. On March 19, 2013, American Showstoppers: The Music of Jule Styne will also be presented with the Fred Barton Orchestra and Broadway singers.

Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte will bring her All Star Holiday Show to the Schimmel Center Dec. 8. Gravitte will be joined by special guests and an 18-piece orchestra for the evening of song and dance.
