Pair of Solo Dickens Shows to Be Presented at London's Trafalgar Studios for Christmas Season | Playbill

News Pair of Solo Dickens Shows to Be Presented at London's Trafalgar Studios for Christmas Season Miss Havisham's Expectations and Sikes & Nancy, a pair of solo shows based on Dickens characters, will be performed by Linda Marlowe and James Swanton, respectively, beginning performances Dec. 9 at Trafalgar Studios 2, prior to an official opening Dec. 12, for a run through Jan. 3, 2015.

Marlowe, who is about to appear in TV's "EastEnders," will play the jilted bride "Norma" Havisham in Miss Havisham's Expectations, performing nightly at 7:45 PM, with matinees on variable days at 3 PM. Forever in her wedding dress alongside the stopped clock and untouched cake, she invites us to share her side of the story - a tale of passion, vengeance and more than a little magic.

Written and directed by Di Sherlock, it was previously seen at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe. It is produced by Julie Clare for One Spirit Productions and Tim Johanson Productions.

Sikes & Nancy, a play adapted and performed by James Swanton based on the legendary readings Dickens himself used to give adapted from "Oliver Twist," will be performed nightly at 9:15 PM, with matinees on variable days at 4:30 PM.

It is produced by Jimmy Jewell Ltd. in association with Andrew Thomas Theatricals Ltd. and The Production Exchange.
