News Palm Beach DramaWorks to Feature Plays By Shaw, St. Germain, Margulies and McDonagh in 2010-2011 Palm Beach DramaWorks, which is dedicated to producing "provocative and timeless productions that personally impact each individual," has assembled a varied program for its 2010-2011 season.

Candida, by George Bernard Shaw, will run Oct. 8-Nov. 21. J. Barry Lewis will direct a cast featuring Kim Cozort, John Leonard Thompson, Will Connolly, John Felix, Cliff Burgess and Margery Lowe. "In this brilliantly witty exploration of marriage by the Nobel Prize winning playwright," according to the DramaWorks website, "a beautiful Victorian woman finds herself caught in a romantic triangle between her pastor husband and a young poet."

Freud's Last Session, by Mark St. Germain, will perform Dec. 17-Feb. 6, 2011. William Hayes will direct Debbis Craghan and Chris Oden in the play, which is currently running Off-Broadway. According to press notes, "On the day England enters World War II, the legendary Dr. Sigmund Freud invites C.S. Lewis to his London home, where they clash on the existence of God, love, sex and the meaning of life."

Dinner with Friends, a Pulitzer Prize winner by Donald Margulies about two married couples whose friendships are tested when one marriage ends, will open Feb. 25, 2011, and run through Apr. 17, 2011. William Hayes will direct a cast featuring Erin Schmidt, Jim Ballard, Eric Brown and Sarah Wilson.

Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane will run May 6-Jun. 19, 2011. J. Barry Lewis will direct a cast that is so far set to include Barbara Bradshaw and Kevin Kelly. Press notes describe the Irish tale as "the darkly comic tale of a lonely woman and her manipulative mother, whose interference in her daughter's only chance at love sets the stage for deceptions, secrets and betrayal."
