News Pan Asian Rep Announces Cast for The Secret of O-Sono Casting is now complete for the Pan Asian Repertory Theatre's world-premiere production of The Secret of O-Sono, which begins performances Off-Broadway March 25.

Presented as the centerpiece of Pan Asian Rep's New Works 09, the family friendly ghost tale that incorporates the Kabuki and Noh theatre traditions will run March 25-April 15 at the West End Theatre.

Ron Nakahara directs a cast that features the previously announced Emi F. Jones in the title role as well as Shigeko Suga, John Baray, Glenn Kubota, Keoni Scott, Bea Soong, Chris Doi, Nancy Eng and Yoko Hyun.

Elsa Okon Rael adapted the play, which was inspired by the Japanese folk tale "The Dead Secret." According to production notes, "The Secret of O-Sono tells the story of a mother's love for her son. So strong, her love allows her to reject death."

The work features original music by Shigeko Suga and movement consultant is Sachiyo Ito.
