Darren Lynn Bousman ("Saw II," Saw III") will direct the forthcoming feature film based on his short film of the same name. The original opera is penned by screenwriter-composers Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich. Dan Heffner, Carl Mazzocone, Mark Burg and Oren Koules will produce. Hilton will join previously attached stars Alexa Vega (Hairspray), Tobin Bell and Paul Sorvino (The Baker's Wife). Set in 2056 amid a worldwide epidemic, the story follows a company that launches an organ-financing program — the consequence for non-payment revealed in the title.
"This movie has become my life," Bousman told the trade publication. "I have auditioned at least 30 actresses for this role — Paris came in and owned it. She is this role." Hilton will sing as daughter of the organ company head Sorvino.
Hilton — who released the self-titled album "Paris" — has been seen on the reality show "The Simple Life," as well as in such films as "House of Wax" and "Raising Helen."
